Greetings of peace and welcome to Habibah Foundation Canada.
We are a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting Muslim women and their families through advocacy, education, mentoring, and holistic alternatives to talk therapy. We offer support that helps women reconnect with their inner strength, faith, purpose, and joy. Our approach is rooted in compassion, cultural and spiritual sensitivity, and a deep belief in the resilience of our sisters. We strive to overcome the barriers that prevent our sisters from accessing the mental health care they need—financial constraints often being the biggest obstacle.
Our Pay-What-You-Can Therapy Assistance Program connects women and girls with female Muslim professionals who help them navigate a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, low self-worth, trauma, and strained relationships. Our goal is to raise enough funds to support 100 Muslim women and girls in 2024. Your generous donation does more than offer access to professional care—it offers a lifeline.
In addition to therapy, we also fundraise to support women and their children as they transition into safer, more stable living situations after experiencing abuse. We step in to provide essentials—housing support, groceries, transportation, and school supplies—so that healing isn’t held hostage by basic survival needs. Your donations help these women rebuild, reclaim their dignity, and restore a sense of safety and hope.
We chose the name Habibah, meaning “beloved female” in Arabic, to reflect our mission. Many of our sisters feel forgotten, isolated, and unloved. Some may even feel that self-harm or suicide is the only way out. But your support helps us show them that they are not alone—that they are beloved, and that help is here.
By donating, you remind our sisters that they matter, that they are seen, and that they are deeply loved.
